What is happening?
In 2018, Pearson released a TestNav patch to block the TestNav Android app on Android devices and on Chrome OS due to a potential security issue. Pearson notified Google of the security issue and will re-enable the app once the issue is resolved.
- Customers can continue secure testing on Chrome OS only with the TestNav Chrome app.
- Customers can continue taking practice tests on Android devices in a browser.
What does this mean?
Pearson automatically pushed the patch that prevents the TestNav Android app from launching.
What do I need to do (and how do I do it)?
Customers using the Android app should plan to use alternative TestNav apps for secure testing. Pearson will notify customers once Google addresses the security issue.
