Several features in AD Authoring support the creation and viewing of foreign language items.
AI Translator
Item creators can translate an existing item or stimulus in a bank using AI technology for one or up to 50 items at once. Users can select the AI icon in the top right and translate the item into six possible languages. Items are cloned and saved with the language extension automatically. Once translated, users can edit, view the original item, or regenerate the translation, if needed.

Once an item is translated using this method, an icon appears next to the item name. This acts as a reminder when edits are made that any translated items need to be regenerated.

Math Extended Text: International Keyboard
See also: Extended Text Interaction
Spanish and French language symbol keyboards are available for math extended text items. This allows students access to proper international keyboard for entering special characters for the language they are writing in. Authors can turn on these new keyboards by selecting 'Language Symbols' in the Toolbar Options List and also a language in the ‘Language Symbols List.’

Tutorial Language Support
AD Authoring has internationalization support for tutorial text, enabling translations and label overrides. The changes implement i18n functionality for tutorial content and provide default Spanish translations when no language label bundle is uploaded. If a bundle is uploaded, tutorial content can be customized. For details, discuss with your Pearson Delivery Team.

Spanish Translations in the Student Testing Window
Internationalization is available on many of the player tools, tooltips, and prompts to correctly translate to Spanish. To support, change the Languages setting in Chrome appropriately for this to work: Settings > Languages > Move Spanish to the top > Refresh Browser.

Spanish TTS Voice
A native speaking Spanish voice is available as a TTS option to the Forms > Settings page. English is the default language setting and TTS is defaulted on for forms preview. This setting does not change whether TTS is shown for students as that is driven by the PNP settings.

Desmos Calculator in Spanish
Spanish Desmos calculator is based on browser language.
