Include Rationales in an Item

You can enter rationales for each answer choice. These will be available on the Item Analysis reports and help educators understand what students may have picked a wrong answer.

To add a rationale:

1. On the item, select ‘Link Rationale.’
   
2. In the new field that appears below each answer choice, enter the rationale.
