This information is a part of Manage Online Tests.

This is one of the tasks to be done Before Online Testing starts.     


Some features are only available to some user accounts. Each user account has a user role(s) and permissions associated with it. These permissions control the data the user can view and actions the user can perform. If you do not see a specific feature, your account is not configured to access it. See Manage Users for more information.

Your testing program will provide information identifying user roles and what each is permitted to do and see.

Some tests are made up of multiple smaller tests or sections. Some programs refer to these sections as units.

This option is only available for online tests with multiple sections (units). When a section is locked, it is not available to students for testing. The following functionality locks all the sections of an online test within a test session.

To  lock units of an online test, follow these steps:

  1.  From Testing > Sessions, search to find test session(s) or click the down arrow next to the Search button and select Show all results. Select the session(s).

  2. Open the task list and select Lock Units. Click Start.

  3. Select the session(s) and click Lock

    All sections of the selected test session will be locked.
