This information is a part of Manage Online Tests.

This is one of the tasks to be done During Online Testing


Override resume restriction allows a student to revisit exited test sections.  

Override resume restriction can only be applied to:

  • Sessions which are In-Progress
  • Students with ExitedResumed, Or Resumed Upload status

The following options are available for override resume restriction.

Option - Override Resume Restriction at the Session-level

  1. From Testing > Sessions, search to find your test session(s), or click the down arrow next to the Search button, and click show all results. Select the session(s) you want to apply override resume restriction.

  2. Open the task list and select Override Resume Restriction, and click Start.

  3. Select Override next to a Session Name, and click Save.
    • If there are multiple tests in a session, from the Session Test select a test, and then select Override.
    • If you have selected multiple sessions for a test, then you can either select override for individual sessions, or select override for all.

Option - Override Resume Restriction for Students in Sessions 

  1. From Testing > Students in Sessions, add test session(s) to the Session List on the left of the page. If you have trouble finding your session, go to Testing > Sessions, and select the test session(s) that contain the students whose statuses you want to change to apply override resume restriction. Return to Students in Sessions and the session(s) will be listed.

  2. Search to find the student(s), or click the down arrow next to the Search button and click Show all resultsYou can change the Find Students setting to show students in your currently selected administration or in all available administrations. 

  3.  There are two ways you can Override resume restriction:

    1. From the Student Test Status, select Override Resume Restriction

      Once Override Resume Restriction is applied, OVRD reflects the updated student test status. The updated test status allows the student to revisit an exited test section(s).

    2. From the  task list, select Override Resume Restriction, and click Start.

      1. Select a student(s) from Students in Sessions, and click Save.

        Once Override Resume Restriction is applied, OVRD reflects the updated student test status. The updated test status allows the student to revisit an exited test section(s).
