To run browser-based TestNav, complete the following:

This checklist provides ordered steps that correspond to the sections on this page. You can click each link to go directly to the corresponding section.

  1. Install Java
  2. Then, configure Java and enable pop-up windows for TestNav for each browser:
    1. Firefox
    2. Safari
  3. Install and enable Java.
  4. Allow TestNav Java applet to run for Windows and Mac.
  5. Eliminate the Java pop-up when testing for Windows and Mac.
  6. Disable Java expiration check.
  7. Close apps and stop processes.Enable pop-ups for TestNav. (NEED SCREENSHOTS)
  8. Run SystemCheck before overall infrastructure test.
  9. Set up response file backups, and set up a secondary save location
  10. Run an infrastructure trial using a practice test.Pearson strongly recommends running an infrastructure trial BEFORE the actual test day to verify the technology setup is complete and to familiarize teachers and students with the test.
