What is happening?

Mozilla will end support of the Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface (NPAPI)/Java plugin in its Firefox ESR browser before the start of the 2018-19 school year.

As a result, Pearson plans to end support for Firefox ESR for secure testing in August 2018.

What does this mean?

All customers using Firefox for secure testing must begin using the TestNav app in the 2018-19 school year.

What do I need to do (and how do I do it)?

When your program prepares to update TestNav:

  1. See the setup pages for applicable operating systems.
  2. Follow setup instructions for the TestNav app.
Pearson strongly recommends that customers follow the provided instructions to run AppCheck and a full infrastructure trial to verify that devices and assistive technology perform as expected.
