To add a rubric to your item, click Create Item and then the Elements tab. Under Other, click on the plus sign next to the label Rubric in the left panel.

Enter rubric text by using standard formatting methods. You may also select from the "Add Rubric Template:" drop down to choose from several generic templates. After selecting a generic template that is appropriate for the rubric you would like to add, you can then modify the areas of the template to add performance criteria.
