The File Upload interaction allows testers to upload files for teacher review/hand scoring during assessments.
Authors can set the accepted file types, enter a prompt, and add traits. Users see an area to drag and drop files or Browse for upload. Files can then be downloaded to teacher machines for review and scoring.

Create a File Upload Interaction
- Navigate to AD Authoring > Items > Create New.
- From the Editor tab, select Add Interaction > Open Response > File Upload Interaction.
- Enter a Prompt.
- Under Settings, enter the maximum number of files the tester may attach
- Select the Accepted File Types.
- Under Score Settings, enter the Max Points.
Scoring Settings
In Scoring Settings tab, select Manual Scoring, and add scoring Traits to score students across multiple traits. See also: Set Up Manual Scoring.
