For some multi-section tests delivered using TestNav, seal codes control access between sections. Seal-codes are used to prevent tester transitions from one section of the test to the next without entering the seal code. Each set of codes is the same for all proctor groups within an administration (e.g., Biology), but unique to each administration (codes for Math 6 are different from Math 7).
The first section does not have a seal code as access is controlled by the student receiving the test code and if enabled, also the proctor releasing them into the test. This means that the first seal code is actually for the second section of the test.
Where are Seal Codes Located?
Seal codes can be found in the Proctor Dashboard as well as in the "Proctor Code" export.

What Does the Student Do with the Seal Code?
When students are ready to begin a section, they will be prompted to enter a seal code. To avoid students moving ahead, only provide the seal code to students on an as-needed basis i.e., don't write all the codes on the board if students should stop after completing the first section.
