If configured for the test, the Reseat Session action on the proctor dashboard logs a student out of the test and allows them to sign in again. A proctor might need to reseat one or multiple students if they exit the lockdown browser and their progress status is or they internet connection is interrupted. Reseating a student can also resolve other non-specific issues a student might have with navigation in a test.

Reseat One Student

To reseat a student:

  1. In the proctor dashboard, find the student you want to reseat.
  2. In the Actions column, select Reseat.
  3. When the confirmation message appears, select Reseat. The student progress will change from to Reseat to indicate that the student has been reseated and may re-enter the test.

  4. The student receives a notification that they can log in to the test session again.
